Today you turn 3 years old…WOW! Happy birthday!! Your mom and I had no idea what you expect when you were born, but you are a blessing beyond blessings. I am so proud of the 3 year old that you are, and I am sure I will swell with pride with each year you grow. Your happiness makes me bubble. Your smile is heart-warming. Your laugh is contagious. You are hilarious. You are a wonderful big sister to Eli. I could watch you interact with him all day long. Yesterday when you were making him laugh is a memory I will carry forever. You thrill me when you say please and thank you. You thrill your mom when you ask for more brussel sprouts and apple chunks. Yes, you make me “freak out” a few times a week, but that is OK too. We are both learning in this daddy-daughter relationship we got going on. I am sure we’ll figure it out though. Eli decided to come about 6 days early. Elijah DePriest Fath was born @ 6:46 AM this morning...8 lbs, 19 3/4 inches long! I must say...he is a handsom little guy.

53 Days...

...until C2 arrives (if the Oct 13 due date holds true).

Baby doc appointment went well this morning...143 bpm heartbeat. AB joined us, and enjoyed hearing the heartbeat. Her eyes kind of light up with wonderment when that heartbeat sounds comes through the monitor. It is pretty cool.

60 something days and counting

Well, C2 will be here before we know it. It has been a pretty chill pregnancy so far...we are much less in-tuned to it than we were with AB. With AB, we had all the classes to go to, and a nursery to paint/furnish/decorate, and strollers and car seats (i.e. endless hours in Baby's-R-Us) to purchase. This time around, we are just waiting.

C2's heartbeat was 155 last week, so that is good. C2 is moving more, and AB is becoming a little more cognizant of what is about to happen.

All is good though. We are all excited for our family to grow by 1 in the 2nd week of October!!!

C2 Is Developing

We all (C, AB, and I) went to the "baby doctor" yesterday to listen to C2's heartbeat. 134 beats per minute! This is good! The doc said everything looks and feels right on target. AB's was 141 bpm at the same appointment back in September of 2006.

AB didn't know quite what to make of the experience, but she seemed to enjoy it.

The next appointment is C2's first official portraits...AKA the ultrasound!

Well, on August 26th, 2006, I made this post...

On March 4, 2007, our awesome daughter Annabelle was born. Since Annabelle has been so wonderful (most of the time ;-) ), we have decided to try the whole parenting thing again. The second time around is supposed to be easier, right?

That is correct...Chrissy is pregnant, and C2 (Cletus II) is due October 13, 2009. We are excited, and have a lot to do to get ready.

Annabelle still does not quite know what is going on. We ask her where the baby is, and she points to her own belly. She will learn soon enough what is up though. She'll be a great big sis.

Like Annabelle, we won't know the sex until C2 is born. What do yo think it'll be?

After Annabelle was born, I had a sixth sense that we will have all girls and I will be over run and over powered by DeFitty women. But something is telling me that this one may be a boy. I guess we'll find out in October.

A couple weeks ago, I went to a local (as in a high school gym) wrestling event. The main event was Ric Flair's sons vs. The Nasty Boys (with the Mouth of the South Jimmy Hart) AND Hulk Hogan as the special guest referee! When I heard Hogan was going to be there, I knew I had to be there. I am a HULKAMANIAC after all!!!
