The Tip Off

So, I don't know why I am starting this. I was actually "reading the paper" earlier today, and there are a couple sports columnists in the Observer who just kind of give opinions on different topics on sports. So I think that is what this will be for me. But I may hit on stuff other than sports too. So here goes...

Lets start with the George Mason University Patriots! Who knew about these guys 2 weeks ago? I am glad to say I did. I spent my freshman year there, and worked their basketball camp for a couple years when I was in high school back when Paul Westhead was the coach. I will be sporting my GMU Basketball golf shirt on Saturday! Do I think they will win this weekend? Nope. But I didn't think they would beat MSU, UNC, or UConn either! That is why the tourney is great!

American Idol...I really hate when they have the modern music themed nights, like last night. They always stink, and last night was no different.

Ever had a beer can chicken? You need to try it!

My awesome wife and I spent the weekend in Blowing Rock! It was great to spend some CJT!?!?!? It was so cool watching the snow on Saturday, considering we really got none this year. I sure am glad I finally bought that snow shovel for this winter.

My wife and I tallied up a count, and we currently have about 13 friends who are pregnant right now!

I hope Mick Foley comes through with a great match at Wrestlemania this weekend.

This is a great place to start every morning!

Do you think Ward Burton will ever race in Cup again?

You know when you see something, and your first thought is "Daggone! That is not good." Well, that's what I thought to myself when I first saw the Paul Dana crash on Sunday morning. I have to agree with Robin Miller that Paul just was not experienced enough for IRL racing. It is a shame, and very sad. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Seth Greenburg, the VT basketball coach is one funny guy.

Well, that is enough for now. Back to work for me.

Peace.
